A great reliable and portable GPS receiver! I was able to run the device with several free map apps but I could not get Microsoft streets to recognize the device. Otherwise I think my only recourse will be just to build my app as a regular WPF application.
This GPS receiver is a compact device, which gets easily plugged into your laptop. The only tricky thing you might find is that there is no really easy way of determining what port number has been assigned to the GPS unit which might make it a little frustrating for non tech-savvy users. If you’ve never used a USB type GPS before you might be a little intimidated by the setup required to get the unit working with whatever program your using but the manual is pretty clear and the main thing you need to do is go into the Windows Dev ice Manager and set the port settings to whatever your program requires.
